Club Night 25th September 19
Welcome to the blog.
Another good evening with plenty of variety was to be had. Here's a synopsis of what occured.
Diamond Neil kicked off in the graveyard slot followed by Nick the slide who, without his slide played us three cracking instrumentals all played in the open tuning of G.
Shy Eddie was back from the Emerald Isles with his very red guitar. Eddie gave us a couple of Dylan songs and Devil Woman.
We had a Lime Meadow virgin in the shape of Sarah who was over from the States She is a singer song writer and on a mini tour of Europe. She gave us a couple of here own songs and finished with 'The Weight'. Nice one Sarah.
Next was the The Bard accompanied by two of his friends another Tony and Daphne who played keyboards and violin, respectively. They played some excellent traditional folk songs including Skye Boat Song.
Richard was back for his second visit and played 3 of his own compositions, all filled with lashings of angst and pathos.
I was next with my trusty Parlour and played 'Two Brothers as well as 'I never Learned to Waltz' Quality stuff of course.
GT was back and in fine form. We had "Word" and setting the Woods on Fire. GT slipped in a few of his own lyics in a couple of his songs.
Up came Pluto Swint with the very effective Andy on bass. We had some old faves includng Let your love flow and Games People Play.
Alex stayed on for his own set and his songs included The wrong road again and The Valley of tears.
On came Geoff and kicked off with World without love penned by Lennon and McCartney no less, we also had Old Rocking Chair and He aint Heavy.
